The City of King and Monterey County are exploring options to expand and improve pedestrian trails at San Lorenzo Park and along the Salinas River. To accurately reflect local opinions and desires for recreational trails, we plan to work closely with residents, local government, and community organizations over the next several months. Through surveys and a public meeting, residents will have opportunities to share ideas on potential trail expansion, including what features they’d like along the trail and where the trail should go. This input will inform the development of a conceptual trails plan.

Why are we doing this? The Salinas River is an important part of King City’s history and environment. This project aims to improve recreation, connectivity, physical & mental health, and access to nature for King City residents.
